The Executive Forum at IWCS The Executive Forum, organized by IWCS and ECA, provides an opportunity for executives and managers from cable and connector companies, and their suppliers and customers, to take part in a program dedicated to providing key information in the management of their businesses. Each year, market data is presented by experts from CRU and KMI, leading sources for strategic information. Renowned economists from DuPont help participants understand the economic trends and dynamics that affect their companies. In the 2008 program, speakers from Factory Mutual and Underwriters Laboratories will be addressing key issues impacting our industry and the products we sell. A very intense perspective of the Global Optical Fiber markets will be presented by Corning Inc. , and the impact of new LED technologies on cables and connectors will be described by Avnet. Bandwidth demand is an issue that all of the industry follows as it directly impacts the future view for industry markets. In 2008, CCCA and IICIT contributed significantly to the Executive Forum program as the IWCS Conference and the Executive Forum expands its focus. Focus Suppliers’ Exhibition™ |
Symposium IWCS Professional Development Courses IWCS continues to update our Professional Development Program. This year there are new courses in the issues and technologies of high concern and interest to the industry. This is in addition to the core course in fiber, copper and materials. The three core courses will provide those new to wire and cable with basic technology information. The elective courses will deliver current, leading edge topics geared at providing information on new areas of interest to engineers, scientists, and other wire and cable professionals. This is the fourth year in the new format that offers participants the opportunity to complete the whole program of courses.
