EIA Source Codes

EIA Source Codes provide a numeric symbol assigned and registered by EIA that may be stamped or marked on any or all products to identify the production source or the vendor assuming product responsibility. Major facets of this program have been inactive since 2001. Howver, the codes are still used by some vendors and can be used to identify previous shipped products.

Date codes (see menu at left) may be added to the source code to identify the week and year of manufacture (ie, the code 113-9910 indicates that the product was manufactured by the company identified by the source code 113 in week 10 of 1999).

This reference provides listings of companies and source codes. Many companies listed have gone out of business, merged or no longer participate. This information is provided as an industry resource and neither EIA nor ECA guarantees accuracy of this data. Comments are included with company listings that may provide additional information.
